Embryonoses are defined as diseases with a pathogenesis traceable to intrauterine life, with symptoms of disease becoming apparent before puberty. A classification of these diseases into disorders of the genetic matrix, lytic phenomena, and toxic, drug-induced, infective, mycotic or parasitic conditions, is proposed.
