, : 'Hasawi alfalfa', a local variety from Al Hassa (Hofuf), Saudi Arabia. Journal of the British Grassland Society 30(3): 241-242

Hasawi lucerne was sown on 5 June 1972 at the Hofuf Animal Production and Agricultural Research Centre, Saudi Arabia, was given up to 62.5 kg P2O5/ha monthly, and 21 cuts were taken from the irrigated crop up to 22 June 1974; the optimum rate of P2O5, 50 kg/ha, gave 62.9 t DM/ha over this period (nearly 40 t/ha year).
