A method of studying the physiology of diseased plants

, : A method of studying the physiology of diseased plants. Vestsi Akademii Navuk BSSR, Biyalagichnykh Navuk (2): 105-109, 142

In this modified method of inoculating cereal seedlings the spore suspension of the pathogen is placed on the apical part of a leaf only. Both halves of the leaf are then subjected to biochemical analysis. Defence reactions in the plant tissues can thus be studied without interference by physiological processes occurring in the pathogen.
