Abortion in cattle caused by Bedsonia in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands outbreaks of abortion were reported in only four (brucellosis free) herds during the calving season of 1969/1970. Investigations showed that Bedsonia (Chlamydia) organisms were responsible.
