Abortion in cows caused by Salmonella dublin. Comparison with abortion in brucellosis occurring during four years in the Moselle area, France

, : Abortion in cows caused by Salmonella dublin. Comparison with abortion in brucellosis occurring during four years in the Moselle area, France. Bulletin Academie et Societe Lorraines des Sciences 11(2): 132-150

S. dublin was isolated from 237 of 2408 cases of bovine absorption in Moselle during 1968-1971. Most cases occurred sporadically in the 6th-8th month of pregnancy, without other clinical signs. Single cases were recorded in 181 of 215 abortions. Most cases were diagnosed between September and January, and this apparently reflected the total monthly number of abortions. The method of isolation of the organism is described.
