Above-ground biomass yields of short-rotation Sycamore

, : Above-ground biomass yields of short-rotation Sycamore. Wood Science 5(1): 1-6

In a study of short-rotation coppice management of Platanus occidentalis the effects of spacing and age on the % yields of the component parts of the tree (leaves, branches, stems, bark) were determined on 2- and 3-year-old seedlings. Leaf %s increased with wider spacing and decreased with age. Branch %s generally increased with spacing and with age.
