Aboveground biomass of Black Spruce stands in subarctic Quebec
Moore, T.R.; Verspoor, E., 1973: Aboveground biomass of Black Spruce stands in subarctic Quebec. Canadian Journal of Forest Research 3(4): 596-598
Gives data on above-ground biomass and tree density for three Picea mariana/lichen woodland sites (a) and three P. mariana/moss forest sites (b), in the NE transition section of the boreal forest region of Canada. On the basis of regressions of oven-dry weight on d.b.h., P. mariana biomass values of 10 000-29 000 and 78 000-163 300 kg/ha were obtained for (a) and (b) respectively.
