Abscisic acid in fruits of Vitis vinifera during ripening

, : Abscisic acid in fruits of Vitis vinifera during ripening. Naturwissenschaften 60(6): 301-302

The ABA content of grapes was measured on ten dates between 31 July and 3 November. During growth phase II (increase in berry weight resulting from rapid cell division) the absolute ABA content (in mu g/1000 berries) was very low and its concentration (in mu g/kg fresh weight) declined. In phase III (22-31 August, with no increase in berry weight) the absolute ABA content increased gradually and the concentration markedly.
