, : Abscisic acid-kinetin interaction in growth and activities of enzymes of amino-acid metabolism in Pennisetum typhoides seedlings. Zeitschrift fur Pflanzenphysiologie 73(2): 160-166

In Petri-dish experiments, kinetin at 10, 50 or 100 mg/l stimulated unfolding of the foliage leaves in P. typhoides seedlings but inhibited root and coleoptile elongation. It also promoted the activities of alanine aminotransferase (GPT), aspartate aminotransferase (GOT) and glutamate dehydrogenase (GLDH). ABA inhibited seedling growth, promoted the activity of GPT and GOT, but inhibited that of GLDH.
