Abscission: potentiating action of auxin transport inhibitors

, : Abscission: potentiating action of auxin transport inhibitors. Plant Physiology 50(3): 313-318

Application of the auxin transport inhibitors TIBA, N-1-naphthylpthalamate or DPX1840- (3,3a-dihydro-2-(p-methoxyphenyl)-8H-pyrazolo-(5,1-a) isoindol-8-one) to the petioles of cotton plants (Gossypium hirsutum Stoneville 213) promoted ethylene-induced leaf abscission and caused the abscission of leaves which would not otherwise have abscissed.
