Absence of de-adaptation to biuret after a three-day break in feeding it to sheep

, : Absence of de-adaptation to biuret after a three-day break in feeding it to sheep. South African Journal of Animal Science 2(2): 69-72

Ten merino wethers aged 10 months were given a ration low in protein and energy for 21 days and then N retention and urinary biuret excretion rates were estimated. The estimations were repeated when the ration contained 0.8% biuret and with a ration adequate in protein and energy and containing 1% biuret. The biuret was removed for 3 days from the latter ration on 2 occasions between trials.
