Absence of percutaneous absorption of aflatoxin


, : Absence of percutaneous absorption of aflatoxin. Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology 24(1): 162-164

When aflatoxin was applied to shaved skin of rats there was no evidence of percutaneous absorption. However, the toxin was found on the paws and in the stomach, liver and kidneys, indicating that aflatoxin is ingested during grooming.
