With the method of total body neutron activation analysis (TBNA) and total body counting, a technique has been established to estimate body Ca in g with an accuracy of 5.2%. Five cadavers of different body size were activated and counted to establish the ratio of their induced 49Ca activity to a fixed Ca standard, activated and counted under identical conditions.
