Absorbing more labor in LDC agriculture: a reply

, : Absorbing more labor in LDC agriculture: a reply. Economic Development and Cultural Change 21(1): 157-160

This "reply" comments on a critique by W.F. Owen (WAERSA 13, 4, 4271) on an earlier article by the author (WAERSA 11, 3, 2242). It is not considered that the employment problem is resolved in less developed countries by mounting a dynamic labour absorption campaign and programme in the farm sector. The problem of agricultural sufficiency has been replaced significantly by problems of diversification, distribution and storage.
