Absorption and translocation of iron in young plants of peach, almond and their hybrids

, : Absorption and translocation of iron in young plants of peach, almond and their hybrids. Comptes Rendus des Seances de l' Academie d' Agriculture de France 58(18): 1513-1519

Using nutrient solutions containing radioactive iron it was shown that for a root absorption rate of the same order, the transport of iron to the leaves of the peach variety GF305 was three times greater than that of the variety Nemaguard, the latter being less resistant to chlorosis than the former. A similar relationship existed between the peach X almond hybrids GF677 and GF577.
