Absorption of antibacterial agents by the bovine involuting uterus

, : Absorption of antibacterial agents by the bovine involuting uterus. Canadian Veterinary Journal 16(1): 10-15

Three pairs of healthy cows received an intra-uterine infusion of sulphadimidine, oxytetracycline, or procaine benzyl penicillin plus dihydrostreptomycin 2-6 days after parturition and additional infusions 10, 20 and 30 days later. Blood samples were collected at intervals from 30 min to 48 hours after infusion. Milk samples were collected at each regular milking up to 48 hours after infusion.
