Absorption of fat in kwashiorkor

, : Absorption of fat in kwashiorkor. Indian Journal of Medical Research 60(4): 628-631

In 16 Indian children with kwashiorkor and on a diet with fat supplying 36% of energy, absorption of fat was from 74.3 to 99.5%, less than 90% in 9. When the intake of fat by 7 children was increased from 4 to 8 g/kg there was better net absorption in all.
