Absorption of iron, copper level and coeruloplasmin activity in hyperthyroidism and simple goitre

, : Absorption of iron, copper level and coeruloplasmin activity in hyperthyroidism and simple goitre. Polski Tygodnik Lekarski 27(44): 1714-1716

In 20 patients with hyperthyroidism, 18 with simple goitre and 10 healthy controls average values in serum were for Fe 132.6, 113.9 and 106.5 and for Cu 159.5, 125.4 and 111.5 mu g/100 ml. Caeruloplasmin was significantly higher in hyperthyroidism than in the controls.
