Two forms of cyanocobalamin, one without intrinsic factor and labelled with 58Co and the other linked to intrinsic factor and labelled with 57Co, were given by mouth to 33 fasting diabetics none of whom was given biguanide. They were also given 1000 mu g unlabelled vitamin B-12 by muscle and were given no food for 4 h thereafter. Urine was collected for 24 h after the cyanocobalamin was given.Other references
