Absorption of lead and copper by roots of Hordeum vulgare

, : Absorption of lead and copper by roots of Hordeum vulgare. Berichte der Schweizerischen Botanischen Gesellschaft 80: 334-340

Barley plants 8 days old were fed with 1, 2, 4 or 8 X 10-4M Pb or Cu. Uptake of these ions by the roots showed a 2-phase character and a Q10 of 1.1-1.2, suggesting non-metabolic absorption.
