Absorption of nutrients by wheat varieties in relation to root cation exchange capacity

, : Absorption of nutrients by wheat varieties in relation to root cation exchange capacity. Madras Agricultural Journal 60(8): 931-935

In a series of field trials, cation uptake and root cation exchange capacities (CEC) were examined in wheat S. Sonora, Junagadh-1 and S.227 supplied with increasing rates of N and P. Mean total uptakes of K2O, Ca and Mg were 92.58, 11.75 and 20.28 kg/ha, respectively, for S. Sonora, 144.77, 19.07 and 27.66 kg for Junagadh-1 or 124.88, 14.62 or 25.04 kg for S.227.
