Absorption of the vital stain Patent Blue Violet and Japanese ink by the lymphatic capillaries of the intestinal villi.

, : Absorption of the vital stain Patent Blue Violet and Japanese ink by the lymphatic capillaries of the intestinal villi.. Zentralblatt fur Veterinarmedizin 19A(Heft 1): 52-62

In the small intestine villi of dog, mouse and different birds, 1-2 sec. after application of dye the lymph capillaries were completely filled. The capillaries begin at the tip of the villi and run at varying diameter perpendicularly into the depths. The part nearest the gut lumen is ballooned and begins just beneath the epithelium. The small perpendicular branches give rise to rings or nets which start near the surface and extend further to fill the whole villus.
