Absorption, accumulation, and metabolism of benefin, diphenamid, and pebulate by tobacco seedlings

, : Absorption, accumulation, and metabolism of benefin, diphenamid, and pebulate by tobacco seedlings. Weed Science 22(1): 42-47

Tobacco seedlings were incubated in nutrient solution containing 14C-labelled benfluralin, diphenamid or pebulate for up to 120 h. Benfluralin accumulated rapidly in the roots, remaining there unaltered. Very low levels of radioactivity were detected in the shoots. Diphenamid accumulated in the shoots throughout the treatment period where it was extensively metabolized but remained at low levels in the roots.
