Absorption, excretion, and metabolism of Robenz, robenidine hydrochloride , in the rat
Zulalian, J.; Gatterdam, P.E., 1973: Absorption, excretion, and metabolism of Robenz, robenidine hydrochloride , in the rat. Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry 21(5): 794-797
Rats given by mouth labelled robenidine hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Robenz, a premix coccidiostat, excreted about 58% of 14C in faeces and 20% in urine within 24 h. p-Chlorohippuric and p-chlorobenzoic acids accounted for 88 and 2%, respectively, of total 14C in urine. Faeces contained most 14C as unmetabolised robenidine. Tissue retention was only 0.4% of the dose after 96 h.
