Absorption, translocation and metabolism of 2,4-D and dicamba in horsenettle

, : Absorption, translocation and metabolism of 2,4-D and dicamba in horsenettle. Abstracts, 1972 Meeting of the Weed Science Society of America, St Louis: 82

Perennial weeds including horsenettle have become a problem in zero-cultivation maize; dicamba is more effective against S. carolinense than 2,4-D. 14C-2,4-D-potassium and 14C-dicamba-potassium were applied in small droplets to the upper surface of a leaf; nearly 5% of the 2,4-D and >39% of the dicamba were absorbed after 8 days, 1.65% and 0.29%, respectively, being present in the roots.
