Absorption, translocation and metabolism of metribuzin in soybeans

, : Absorption, translocation and metabolism of metribuzin in soybeans. Abstracts, 1973 Meeting of the Weed Science Society of America, Atlanta, Georgia: 60

In controlled environment studies, 21-day-old seedlings were treated with 14C-metribuzin in nutrient solution. Plant samples were taken at 6-96 h after treatment. Uptake occurred mainly in the first 6 h. Herbicide appeared to be readily translocated throughout the plant and accumulated in the foliage. The amount of 14C detected in the root and stem remained relatively constant after 24 h. Aqueous plant extracts were partitioned with chloroform.
