Absorption, translocation and metabolism of the growth retardant 14C-Cycocel in trees

, : Absorption, translocation and metabolism of the growth retardant 14C-Cycocel in trees. Rivista della Ortoflorofrutticoltura Italiana 57(6): 412-432

Cycocel labelled in the 1 and 2 positions was applied to the leaves of almond seedlings. Autoradiographs showed that 14C moved to all parts of the plant and especially into the shoot tips and young expanded leaves. Water in which the seedlings grew also became increasingly radioactive.
