Abundance of the early stages of the black cutworm, Agrotis ipsilon (Hufn.) in berseem fields (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)

, : Abundance of the early stages of the black cutworm, Agrotis ipsilon (Hufn.) in berseem fields (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae). Bulletin de la Societe Entomologique d' Egypte 1973; 56: 213-218

Agrotis ipsilon (Hfn.) is common on berseem (Trifolium alexandrinum) in Egypt and appears to spread from it to cotton and other crops. Field studies carried out in three regions (Dekernes, El-Bousily and El-Fayoum) from December 1966 to June 1967 and from October 1967 to June 1968 showed that the numbers of larvae and pupae of the overlapping generations fluctuated between districts and also between seasons in the same district.
