Quadrigyrus nickoli n. sp. from the small intestine of Hoplerythrinus unitaeniatus in Colombia differs from Q. torquatus and Q. brasiliensis in hook size, arrangement, number and size of trunk spines and size of eggs. Q. chlodkowskyi is considered not to belong in this genus and is thought closer to Acanthocephalo-rhyncholides.
