Acaricides against Boophilus microplus (Canestrini) on Holstein cattle in Trinidad

, : Acaricides against Boophilus microplus (Canestrini) on Holstein cattle in Trinidad. PANS 21(2): 158-161

Small-scale field tests were carried out in Trinidad in November 1971 to compare the toxicity and residual activity on Holstein cattle of seven acaricides against Boophilus microplus (Can.). The acaricides were a wettable-powder formulation of carbaryl (which was used as a standard of comparison) and emulsion concentrates of ethion, crotoxyphos, pyrimithate (O,O-diethyl O-(2-dimethylamino-4-methylpyrimid-6-yl) phosphorothioate), dioxathion, chlorfenvinphos or chlorpyrifos.
