Sample figures for the occurence of acarine disease during 1968 and 1969 were similar to those for the period 1963-67. The present method of examining samples of bees dying in winter and treating the infected colonies is unsatisfactory and not sufficiently effective. General treatment with Folbex, in regions where the disease occurs, is recommended.P.
