, : Acarus siro and Tyrophagus putrescentiae: toxicity of some insecticides assayed by a new testing method. Journal of Economic Entomology 66(5): 1237-1238

The toxicity of residues of seven insecticides on cigarette paper to the mobile stages of Acarus siro L. and Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Schr.), mite pests of stored products, was determined in the laboratory in Czechoslovakia. All insecticides except bromophos and propoxur were more effective against A. siro than T. putrescentiae. All organophosphates were much more toxic to both species than were carbamates or pyrethrins.
