Accessibility map for vehicles not restricted to roads

, : Accessibility map for vehicles not restricted to roads. Ymer, Arbook: 212-238

Describes a study, in a Swedish test area, of the feasibility of producing maps by digital-computer techniques that combine the terrain classification for Swedish forestry and a classification for off-the-road vehicles by their performance under difficult conditions (soft ground, snow, obstacles, steep gradients etc.). Terrain classification from the air (on 1 : 30 000 photos) was possible in combination with representative ground sampling.
