Describes a small-scale work study with two Holder tractors, type AG 35 F, one of which, (a), was equipped with a rear-mounted, hydraulically operated S & R single-drum winch and a stacking blade, and the other, (b), with an S & R winch skidding carriage attached to the three-point linkage. Both were used to skid Spruce poles of similar dimensions, averaging 0.10-0.12 m3 o.b.
