Accidents in the forest

, : Accidents in the forest. Foret 27(10): 299-315

Enumerates the causes and consequences, direct and indirect, of accidents at work, with emphasis on the human psychological characteristics that tend to cause accidents. Statistics are tabulated for accidents in forest work, and the resulting costs, in Switzerland during 1963-72; these show no significant change in frequency over the period, suggesting that rationalization and modernization have been accomplished without real regard for the security of workers.
