Acclimatisation, spread and notes on the biology of Aphytis melinus De Bach in Sicily

, : Acclimatisation, spread and notes on the biology of Aphytis melinus De Bach in Sicily. Awamia ?1974; 37: 39-46

The species of Coccoids harmful to Citrus in eastern Sicily are recorded. Since the indigenous natural enemies Chilocorus bipustulatus (L.) and Exochomus quadripustulatus (L.) failed to control Chrysomphalus dictyospermi (Morg.), Aspidiotus nerii Bch. (hederae auct.) or Aonidiella aurantii Mask.), the Chalcidoids Aphytis melinus DeBach and A. lingnanensis Comp. were introduced from California in 1964.
