n a pot experiment in which 90Sr and 137Cs were applied to potato leaves and 137Cs to sunflower leaves 137Cs accumulation was greater when the 137Cs was applied to younger leaves than when it was applied to older leaves. The time of application of 90Sr did not affect its accumulation. About 50% of the applied 137Cs and 2.7% of the 90Sr accumulated in the potato tubers.
