Russian White hens about 7 months old and weighing about 2 kg were fed on wheat, potatoes and fish oil without limestone or with 3, 6, 12 or 18 g daily so that Ca intake was 0.05, 1, 2, 4 or 6 g; in addition each got 90SrCl2 at 0.14 mu Ci daily for 30 days and then all were killed. The 6 birds of each group in that period laid 35, 54, 63, 64 and 37 eggs.
