During a 12-week period, 24-h urine samples of workers exposed to dimethylarsinic acid were found to contain arsenic. Accumulated arsenic was eliminated rapidly following withdrawal. The concentration of arsenic in whole blood was not a sensitive indicator of exposure. Since no worker complained of illness during the study, threshold excretion values were not established.
