Accumulation of chlorophyll in the primary leaves of Phaseolus vulgaris L. irradiated in the presence of AET and cystamine. 2. Influence of AET and cystamine on chlorophyll accumulation

16-day-old etiolated bean leaves were immersed in AET or cystamine solution, treated with gamma -rays from a 60Co source and placed in continuous light for 24 h. Examination of the leaves under the electron microscope showed no effect of either compound on the ultrastructure of the plastids or on their development during the greening process.
