Accumulation of proteins and carbohydrates in the course of development in pea seeds

, : Accumulation of proteins and carbohydrates in the course of development in pea seeds. Delkeletdunantuli Mezogazdasagi Kiserleti Intezet Kozlemenyei Takarmanybazis 10(2): 5-12

Seeds of pea IP/I were collected at various stages of maturation and examination by chemical and spectrophotometric analyses. Increases in total volume and in nutrient accumulation ceased at 26 and 14 days, respectively, before full ripeness. Protein content of tegument, pod and grain decreased and that of the cotyledons increased during maturation.
