Accumulation of radioactive phosphorus by axillary buds of Sinapis alba L. Relationship to preliminary treatment with unlabelled phosphate

, : Accumulation of radioactive phosphorus by axillary buds of Sinapis alba L. Relationship to preliminary treatment with unlabelled phosphate. Comptes Rendus Hebdomadaires des Seances de l' Academie des Sciences, France, D 278(19): 2441-2444

In plants of S. alba with 7 leaves and a terminal flower bud, the migration of 32P applied at the roots to the axillary buds increased with increasing P concentration at the roots. Pretreatment of roots in cold phosphate buffer for 0.5 to 4 h did not affect the migration of 32P subsequently applied to the roots.
