Accumulation of vitamin C in early-maturing potatoes

, : Accumulation of vitamin C in early-maturing potatoes. Kartofel' i Ovoshchi (2): 13

Tuber ascorbic acid contents were highest (34.9-35.15 mg/100 g tubers) (8-year average) in potato Sumskoi and Stakhanovskii and lowest (25.77-26.68 mg) in Kharkovskii Rannii and Vol'tman; contents were intermediate in Priekul'skii Rannii, Vostok and Ella. Ascorbic acid contents were highest during the active tuber formation stage in late July and sharply decreased in Sept.
