Accumulative residual effect and toxicity of some persistent herbicides in multiple cropping areas

, : Accumulative residual effect and toxicity of some persistent herbicides in multiple cropping areas. Memoirs of the College of Agriculture National Taiwan University 14(1): 1-3

Field experiments with diuron and s-triazines showed a carry-over and accumulation from subsequent crops and years. Crop tolerance and the selectivity of the persistent herbicides were the key factors in determining the cropping system and usefulness of herbicides. Climatic factors greatly affected their decomposition rate, simazine being more readily leached than diuron.
