Accuracy of estimation of breeding value using simplified milk recording systems

, : Accuracy of estimation of breeding value using simplified milk recording systems. 1st World Congress on Genetics applied to Livestock Production, 7-11 October 1974-3 Contributed Papers: 585-591

Tables are presented showing (a) the relative efficiencies of simplified milk recording schemes in the estimation of the breeding value of cows (based on less than or equal to 6 lactations) and bulls (based on progeny testing of less than or equal to 100 daughters), and (b) relative genetic gain in milk and fat yields based on 2-, 3- and 4-mth recording intervals.
