Accuracy of methods of compiling yield tables

, : Accuracy of methods of compiling yield tables. Lesnoe Khozyaistvo (10): 58-60

Compares various methods of compiling yield tables, viz. (1) the TsNIILKh method of constructing graphs of the linear relations of height, d.b.h. and form quotient; (2) the 'unit standing volume' method (3) Svalov's method based on the top-height/age relation; and (4) the mathematical-statistical method. It is concluded that (4) is most accurate, but it is costly and can be used only in regions of intensive forestry.
