Acetylcholine Inhibition of Phytochrome-mediated Increases in a Flavonoid and in Phenylalanine Ammonia-Lyase Activity of Etiolated Barley Plumules

, : Acetylcholine Inhibition of Phytochrome-mediated Increases in a Flavonoid and in Phenylalanine Ammonia-Lyase Activity of Etiolated Barley Plumules. Plant Physiology 51(2): 407-408

In 4- to 5-day-old barley seedlings, dipping coleoptiles in 100 mu M acetylcholine chloride had no direct effect on etiolated seedlings, but decreased the effect of red light in increasing saponarin (6-C-glucosyl-7-O-glucosyl apigenin) contents and PAL activity.
