Acetylene reduction assay for nitrogen fixation under field conditions in remote areas

, : Acetylene reduction assay for nitrogen fixation under field conditions in remote areas. Plant and Soil 38(1): 209-213

A method for intensively sampling soil for N fixation potential using acetylene reduction assay is discussed. Acetylene was generated from calcium carbide. Soil cores were incubated in Mason jars with specially adapted lids. Air samples from the jars were stored and transported over dry KOH in 10ml serum vials.
