Acetylene-reducing activity of detached root nodules of Myrica faya Ait

, : Acetylene-reducing activity of detached root nodules of Myrica faya Ait. Plant and Soil 41(3): 521-526

The occurrence of root nodules in Myrica faya is reported. These nodules fixed atmospheric N sufficiently for active growth of the plant in a rooting medium free of combined N. The lobes of the nodule clusters produced roots which grew upwards.
