Acetylurea vs. urea as a source of non-protein N for dairy cows, in comparison with soya bean meal

, : Acetylurea vs. urea as a source of non-protein N for dairy cows, in comparison with soya bean meal. Archiv fur Tierernahrung 23(1): 47-57

3 matched groups of 10 cows formed from 28 German Black Pied and 2 F1 German Black Pied X Jersey cross cows received for 84 days rations containing (i) 350 g acetylurea, (ii) 200 g urea or (iii) 1.1 kg extracted soya bean meal daily/cow. The digestible crude protein equivalents of (i)-(iii) were 458, 440 and 418 g and (i) and (ii) accounted for 30.7 and 29.9% respectively of the total digestible crude protein intake.
